Sometimes project sites don’t appear clearly on satellite images because they are underground, indoors, or greenfield builds. EVlogic now allows you to upload PDFs, such as site plans or layouts, to build directly on top of them for more accurate designs.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Access the Upload Tool
On the Blueprints page, go to the Project Info section.
Click this icon to start the upload process:
Pro Tip: Upload the PDF while setting up the project.
The file locks to the Main Blueprint.
You can duplicate the main blueprint to retain the PDF for multiple design iterations.
If you upload a PDF later, only the main blueprint will contain it.
Step 2: Open the Geo Files Upload Screen
On the next screen, click “+ Add” to begin.
Step 3: Upload the PDF
Drag and drop your PDF file or use the file selector to upload.
Pro Tip: Upload one page at a time to keep processing fast and efficient. Uploading an entire plan set when you only need one page will slow down performance.
Once the upload is complete, click “Pages.”
Step 4: Select the Page
If you uploaded a single page, it will be the only option displayed.
Select the correct page to continue.
Step 5: Crop the Area
Highlight the specific area you want to place on the map.
Click “Crop” to finalize your selection.
Step 6: Place the PDF on the Map
Position the cropped PDF on your map by dragging and adjusting it.
Fine-tune the placement using:
Map controls in the upper left-hand corner, or
The “Image Preview Zoom” function at the bottom of the screen for precision adjustments.
Step 7: Save Your Placement
Once the PDF is positioned correctly, click “Save.”
Step 8: Return to Blueprints
After saving, you’ll return to the upload page.
Click “Blueprints” to return to your project view.
Step 9: Start Building
Select the Main Blueprint to begin your design process.
The PDF is added as a layer that can be toggled on or off in the Layers Options menu (top right-hand corner of the screen).
