Moving Chargers or Equipment

In EVlogic, there are many occasions where you may need to relocate chargers or other equipment.
The best part? This can be done at any time, even after everything has been connected and routed.

Step 1: Select the Object(s)

• Use the selection tools (Select Many, Shift + Drag, or Control + Click) to highlight the charger(s) or equipment you want to move.

Step 2: Move to New Location

• Drag and drop the selected object(s) to the desired location on the map.
• Once you release the mouse, a popup window will appear with two options:

Step 3: Choose Move Option

The popup gives you two choices:

1. Move & Reroute

• Automatically recalculates and redraws conduit paths to match the new location.
• Ideal when you want to keep everything connected and functional after the move.

2. Move & Delete Conduit Path

• Removes existing conduit routes, leaving the equipment unconnected.
• Useful if you plan to redesign or reroute manually later.

Tip:

The right choice depends on your project needs and sometimes you will need to reconnect by deleting the existing guidelines and conduit paths.

Pro Tips

• Quick adjustments: Use “Move & Reroute” for fast, real-time updates during design sessions.
• Major layout changes: Use “Move & Delete Conduit Path” when making big shifts or redesigning from station layout.
• Save often: Each move creates a new version you can revert to if needed.
• Zoom in before moving equipment to ensure precise placement.
