Adding Options to Objects
Some objects in EVlogic have customizable options you can add to them. These options continue to expand as the platform grows.
Currently, you can:
- Add wheel stops to parking spaces.
- Add bollards to all equipment, including chargers and cabinets.
The example below uses parking spaces, but the process is the same for all object types.
Method 1: Add Options During Initial Placement
When placing a group of objects (e.g., multiple parking spaces, chargers, or cabinets):
- In the placement popup menu, locate the dropdown menu for options.
- Choose Wheel Stops (for parking spaces) or other applicable options.
Complete the placement as usual, and the selected option will automatically be applied to every object in the group.
Best for:
- Adding options right from the start, ensuring you don’t need to edit each object later.
Method 2: Add Options to a Single Object After Placement
You can also add options to individual objects after they’ve already been placed.
- Select the object on the map (e.g., one parking space).
- Click the “More” button in the object menu.
- Find “Wheel Stop” (or other available option) and click “Add.”
- Select the appropriate option from the dropdown list.
Best for:
- Making quick changes to a single object without affecting others.
Method 3: Add Options to Multiple Existing Objects
If you forgot to add options during placement, you can update many objects at once.
- Use the multi-select tools (Select Many, Shift + Drag, or Control + Click) to select all parking spaces where wheel stops are needed.
- Follow the same steps as Method 2, but this time the changes will apply to all selected objects.
Best for:
- Quickly applying options to large numbers of objects after they’ve been placed.
Pro Tips
- Plan ahead: Adding options during initial placement (Method 1) is the most efficient workflow.
- Batch editing: Use Method 3 to save time when working on large projects.
- Bollards work the same way: The exact process applies when adding bollards to chargers, cabinets, or other equipment.
- Zoom in when selecting multiple objects to avoid accidental edits.
