While parking spaces are the most common objects to be angled, any object in EVlogic—such as chargers, cabinets, or switchgear—can be aligned and rotated. This process ensures your layout looks clean, precise, and professional.
The example below uses parking spaces, but the steps are identical for all object types.
Step 1: Align Objects
If your objects aren’t “snapped” together neatly or appear uneven:
Select the objects you want to align using one of the selection methods.
In the popup menu, click “Align.”
Set the Gap Distance (Edge-to-Edge):
Enter the desired spacing between objects.
This keeps objects evenly spaced and prevents overlap.
Choose Alignment Type:
Angled: Use this option if the objects are already placed at an angle.
90°: Use this option for straight rows.
Click “Align” to apply.
Step 2: Rotate Objects
Now that your objects are aligned, you can rotate them to match your site layout.
Reselect the objects you just aligned.
In the popup menu, choose “Rotate Around Self.”
Set Rotation Options:
Enter a specific angle or use the slider to adjust manually.
Ensure the “Avoid Collision” toggle is ON – it will appear purple when active.
This prevents objects from overlapping during rotation.
Click “Apply Rotation” to finalize.
Pro Tips
Avoid Collision: Always verify this is toggled on before rotating to maintain proper spacing.
Use precise angles: Standard parking layouts are often at 30°, 45°, or 60°, but custom layouts may vary.
Save often: Each save creates a version you can roll back to if needed.
Zoom in for maximum accuracy during alignment and rotation.
