Fixing Object Alignment

When placing objects, they may occasionally fall out of alignment or appear fragmented. This can happen with any object type—such as parking spaces, chargers, cabinets, or switchgear.

The alignment tool allows you to quickly straighten and organize objects. Below, we’ll use parking spaces as an example, but the process is the same for all object types.

Step 1: Select Objects to Align

  • Use one of the selection methods (e.g., Select Many, Shift + Drag, or Control + Click) to highlight the objects you want to align.
  • Ensure all items you want to adjust are included in the selection.

Step 2: Open the Alignment Tool

  • In the popup menu that appears, click the “Align” button.

Step 3: Define Gap and Orientation

  1. Set Gap Distance:
  • Enter the distance between objects, measured edge-to-edge.
  • This ensures consistent spacing between items.
  • Choose Alignment Type:
    • 90° Alignment – for straight rows.
    • Angled Alignment – for angled parking spaces or layouts.

    Step 4: Apply Alignment

    • Click the “Align” button to automatically straighten and evenly space the selected objects.

Step 5: Move and Rotate the Group

    • Select the aligned objects again.
    • In the popup menu, choose “Move / Rotate as a Group.”
    • Drag the objects to reposition them or rotate as needed to fit your site layout.

    Pro Tips

    • Zoom in for better precision when aligning tightly spaced objects.
    • Always double-check spacing after alignment to ensure compliance with site standards.
    • Save your progress once satisfied—this creates a version you can return to later if needed.
