Selecting Multiple Objects
There are three ways to select multiple objects at once:
1. Using the Select Many Tool
- Click on the Select Many icon in the toolbar.
- Position your mouse at the starting point, hold down the left mouse button, and drag to create a selection box around the objects you want to select.
- You can repeat this process multiple times to add more objects to your selection.
- Press Esc or select a different tool to exit this mode.
2. Shift + Left Click (Drag to Select)
- Hold down the Shift key, then left-click and drag to create a selection box around multiple objects.
- Works similarly to the Select Many tool but is faster when working with keyboard shortcuts.
3. Control + Left Click (Manual Selection)
- Hold down the Control key, then left-click individual objects to add them to your selection one by one.
- Ideal for selecting specific items without affecting nearby objects.
Using the Multi-Select Menu
Once multiple objects are selected, a multi-select menu will appear:
This menu allows you to move, align, rotate, and more to the selected items.
Important:
- Some actions can only be applied to one layer at a time (e.g., all chargers or all parking spaces).
- If you need to edit two out of three layers, you must repeat the action for each layer separately.
Example:
If you select parking spaces, chargers, and cabinets together but only want to move the chargers and cabinets:
- First, apply the move command to chargers.
- Then, repeat the process for cabinets.
Pro Tips
- Zoom in closely when selecting small or densely packed objects to avoid accidental selections.
- Use Shift + Click for quick area selection and Control + Click for single item selections.
- Always save your progress after making bulk changes—each save creates a version you can roll back to if needed.
