02 - Placing multiple objects at once

Last Updated 3 months ago

When working on large projects, you can place multiple objects—such as parking spaces, chargers, or cabinets—at the same time. This feature saves time and ensures consistent spacing across your layout.

Step 1: Select "Place Many"

  • Click on the icon for the object type you want to place (e.g., parking space, charger, or cabinet).
  • In the menu that appears, select “Place Many” at the bottom of the menu.

Step 2: Choose Quantity & Spacing

In the pop-up window, you will configure how your objects will be placed:

  1. Quantity:
  • Enter the total number of objects you want to place.

 2.  Gap Distance:

  • Adjust the distance between objects.
  • Define spacing as either:
    • Center to Center – measures the gap from the center point of one object to the center point of the next.
    • Edge to Edge – measures the gap from the outer edge of one object to the outer edge of the next.
  • Important: Gap distance must be greater than zero.

Step 3: Configure Civil Options

Use the dropdown menus to select any civil design options relevant to your project. These options allow for site-specific adjustments, such as compliance or construction standards.

Step 4: Select Nomenclature Item

Once your settings are complete:

  1. Click the “Select Nomenclature Item” button.
  2. Choose the specific object type from the list that appears.

Step 5: Place Objects on the Map

  • Use your mouse to click on the starting point where you want the objects to be placed.
  • The system will automatically place all selected objects in sequence.
  • Note: Objects will always orient themselves to face north on the map.

Quick Tips

  • Double-check spacing: Incorrect gap distance can lead to overlapping or uneven placement.
  • Zoom in for accuracy: Especially helpful when aligning with parking lot lines or site plans.
  • Save progress often: Each save creates a version you can revert to if adjustments are needed.
