External Collaborator Role
An External Collaborator is someone invited to collaborate on a project outside of their own company.
This role is designed to make it easy for clients, partners, or contractors to participate in projects without requiring a paid license.
Key Features
- No paid license required: External collaborators can access EVlogic for free when invited.
- Work across multiple companies: You can receive invitations from several different organizations, and all projects will appear together on your Projects screen for easy access.
- Duplicate and edit:
- Cannot edit or save changes directly to a main blueprint.
- May create duplicates of a blueprint to freely modify and save their own version.
What External Collaborators Can Do
- View projects they’ve been invited to.
- Add notes and feedback directly to the main blueprint.
- Create their own editable blueprints for proposals, design ideas, or alternate solutions.
- Collaborate with multiple organizations from a single EVlogic account.
What External Collaborators Cannot Do
- Edit or overwrite the main blueprint of any project.
- Create entirely new projects within EVlogic.
- Access projects they haven’t been explicitly invited to.
Example Use Case
- A construction contractor works with three different EV developers.
- Each company invites them to collaborate on projects.
- From their single EVlogic login, the contractor can:
- View and manage all invited projects in one place.
- Duplicate blueprints to make suggestions or create proposals.
- Leave detailed notes on the main blueprint for client review.
